For a successful Antonov charter, each challenge starts with perfect coordination from the beginning and having a competent partner for Free on Board (FOB) coordination. Alexander Global Logistics, a member of New Silk Road Network, recently loaded of C02 compressors in an Antonov-124 aircraft.

The customer reported an emergency and informed the consignee to arrange an AN-124 charter to uplift two CO2 compressors at the Leipzig/Halle Airport (LEJ) in early December. The units had weights of 43 respectively 45 tons. AGL coordinated along with charterers and customers on both sides to rebuild the compressors to fit it into the second-largest aircraft, while still being within the road permits' parameters. Due to shortage of aircraft by a sudden emergency shutdown of one AN-124 airline, things had to be reorganized last minute but were still conducted in time.

Both compressors were built at different production sites, one in Berlin and the other in Oberhausen, along with some spare parts. Coordination of four trucks arriving from two locations at LEJ within the deadline was undertaken. Simultaneously, a mobile crane was arranged at the airport ready for live unloading from trucks onto the ramp of the waiting AN-124.

AGL skilfully mastered the challenge even when the temperatures dropped to 0°C. The job was performed smoothly, and AN-124 departed for its journey to India as scheduled. We congratulate AGL for their flawless performance under limited time.
