A Turkish export container train, travelling a total distance of 4,650 kilometres, arrived in Russia via the BTK railway line. The operators included New Silk Road Network’s partner Pasifik Eurasia Logistics along with ADY Containers, GR Logistics & Terminals and Russian Railways Logistics (RZD).
The export train was warmly welcomed at Vorsino station in Moscow. The welcome ceremony was attended by representatives of Russian Railways, the Turkish ambassador into Russia and other officials. This venture has opened a plethora of possibilities for rail freight between Turkey and Russia.
Consisting of 40-foot containers, the train delivered a total of 4,000 Turkish manufactured household appliances. It travelled via the Baku-Tbilisi-Kars route and reached the destination via the North-South Transport Corridor. NSRN congratulates them on yet another step towards supporting rail freight along the New Silk Road!
