After four months of dedicated work, New Silk Road Network member Atlantic Forwarding Group welcomed their first direct rail consol in Switzerland. The rail began at the consolidation hub in Xi’an China and arrived at Basel, Switzerland via Duisburg, Germany. They delivered the cargo within the standard transit time frame. The goods were collected from different parts of China by Atlantic Forwarding Group. They were also responsible for stuffing and customs clearance, which was performed diligently, without any hurdles.

Approximately 25% of the cargo was sensitive medical equipment and PPE, which required careful handling and quick customs clearance. Atlantic Forwarding Group celebrated the arrival of the rail consol with a few customers and partners. The local and national press also took notice of their efforts. Atlantic Forwarding Group informed us that consol number 2 and 3 are arriving soon in Europe as well.
