The essence of the ‘Intermodal in Poland: North-South’ conference is to provide a space where perspectives are allowed to be exchanged freely among like-minded peers and professionals within the containers, transportation, and logistics industry. Massive opportunities lie in the region considering the vital position of Szczecin-Świnoujście, which has played a pivotal role as the main logistics hub. The port’s North-South route connects Central and Southern Europe with the Scandinavian countries, with the East-West route connecting the Czech Republic, Slovakia, Hungary, Romania, Bulgaria, Greece, Austria, Germany, Lithuania, Latvia, Estonia, and Finland. The benefits are not only limited to sea freight but also the rail and road system in Europe, as well as providing unique availability for inland navigation via the Oder River. Thus creating a rich development environment for intermodal industry companies and businesses operating at the intersection of maritime, road, rail, and river transportation.

Thanks to the modernization and construction of railway lines, roads, and port infrastructure, there are prospects for increasing transshipment and acquiring new contractors. The win-win principle is the backbone of the Intermodal in Poland: North-South conference, encouraging experts in the industry to unite and cooperate in developing beneficial ways of operating for the entire industry.

The conference will last for two days, during which discussions and lectures concerning recent trends and events will be presented. As inflation and conflicts on the Polish Eastern border are both transpiring in real time, effective and innovative solutions will be reviewed and examined. In between meetings, attendees will be able to enjoy coffee breaks, lunches, two integration dinners, and a study visit to the Świnoujście Port.
